Its been quite a while since I last posted, just been so busy with everything that's going on, so I've decided to post a quick update.

Since I last posted I've met with Carol Metcalfe twice, and she's offered great help with the business planning I am currently doing, she has also referred me another advisor who will help me up until company launch. I'm currently collecting quotes for items and services that we will need to make the business a success.

I'd also like to thank the guys and girls at 'If We Can You Can' for a great day that the annual conference the whole day was amazing and really gave me an insight into the North East business community, which one day I hope to be a major part of.

Finally seen myself in the newspaper, but something just tells me the editor doesnt really understand the business, he'll be my first point of call on monday before the real stories go in (if I dont injure myself at the motocross track :-] ) . After waiting for what seemed like weeks my combined company register arrived this morning. So I've got to work filling it in, must say some of it is rather confusing, but I'll manage.

Still researching funding options and cant wait to speak to Carol on monday. Will have to really prepare over the weekend to make the most of the opportunity.

I think the main thing that I am struggling to do at the moment is to identify possible sources for funding.

Apart from the bank I wasn't really to aware of places from which I could raise funds.

I thought the best thing I could do is ask someone, so after meeting with Carol Metcalfe as part of the IWCYC Challenge I decided to give her a ring and ask for some advice, I've arranged to meet with her at TEDCO South Shields on monday to thoroughly discuss plans and options.

Only a couple of weeks in and I've already met some great people that can help me as part of the challenge. I'll keep you posted with how it went.

To be honest this is the first time I have ever 'blogged' in my life; and to be honest for a second time, I guess I don't really have a clue what to write.

So... first things first, my name is Steven John Smith. I was born in South Shields and have lived in South Tyneside ever since.
